Best for: Free and paid movies and videos.

Platforms: Phone/Tablet App, Website, and TV.

Next to being a free platform for videos created by individuals from all over the world, YouTube also offers legit movies. You can buy or rent these movies on YouTube. Above that, they also offer hundreds of movies for free. Although, don’t expect to find new releases in the “free” sections. Most of the free movies are old forgotten and unknown movies. And a side note is, that you still need to have YouTube premium to make use of this feature. However, there are still a fair amount of full films posted by individuals that you can find. Most of these films are not that popular or a big deal to get copyrighted. An example of a free movie on YouTube is Close Up (1990), which you can read more about here.

Advantage: Free movies

Disadvantage: Only free for premium users. Independent free uploads are of low quality.
